I was born and raised in North Myrtle Beach. I have seen first-hand the growth and change that our community has experienced over the years. It’s no longer the quiet little beach town it was when I was a kid. Today, North Myrtle Beach is a thriving city that offers its residents access not only to some of the country’s most beautiful beaches, but world-class dining, endless entertainment options and an unmatched quality of life.
As your next Mayor I will focus my efforts on making sure that our law enforcement and first responders have the resources they need to protect our homes and families, increasing government transparency and accountability, and improving our local roads and infrastructure to relieve traffic, reduce flooding and minimize the effects of growth in our community!
J Baldwin was first elect to City Council in 2004. He and his wife, Sierra, live in the Crescent Beach section of the City. He served as President of the Jaycees,as a member of the NMB Zoning Board of Appeals and the NMB Planning Commission. He also recently served on the the Ride VI Committee.

PROTECTING OUR QUALITY OF LIFE
Our community has faced unprecedented growth in recent years. As Mayor I will work to limit impacts on our residents by ensuring that our local roads and infrastructure stay ahead of growth. By adding sidewalks and developing golf cart paths we can reduce traffic in some of our busiest areas. I will continue efforts to alleviate flooding through the completion and expansion of stormwater outfall projects and to improve public parking and beach access for residents.

I have always published my personal cell phone number so residents or businesses who may need assistance or have suggestions can reach me directly at any time. I am committed to providing the highest level of constituent service possible. Government should always be of, for and by the people. It's more important than ever that we work together to make sure our city is a great place to live, work and visit.

North Myrtle Beach has some of the lowest taxes in the state. As your Mayor I will work to keep taxes low while also improving services for local residents.
